About Tom Sharkey

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts - Lowell, Tom Sharkey began his real estate career in the late 1960's, in Los Angeles, California. Associated with market leaders T.E. Davies and Grubb & Ellis, Inc., he learned his trade alongside some of the best in the business. As a US Air Force Pilot, Tom learned leadership, judgement and integrity. Finally, as a commercial airline pilot for over 32 years with American Airlines, Tom used his blend of knowledge and perception to help found American Airlines "Fear of Flying" program.

A nationally known program, represented by Tom on the Oprah Winfrey Show and elsewhere, the "Fear of Flying" program focuses on identifying and dealing with the factors which cause anxiety during air travel. Tom has taken the principles of this program and applied them to the real estate market. The result is the "Fear of Buying" series of seminars in which Tom will guide you through the dangers and the sources of stress that are inherent in buying a home.
